I am a product designer and prototyping engineer with a passion for using additive manufacturing to develop creative products.
I have over 15 years of experience with 3D printing, and I have expertise in Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Stereolithography (SLA), and Material Jetting (MJ) technologies. I am skilled in product design, idea through prototype consulting, CAD drafting, and rapid prototyping.
I hold undergraduate degrees in biomedical engineering, mathematics, and physical anthropology from Tulane University as well as a PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of Houston.
After obtaining my PhD, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University, where I researched 3D printing and served as the in-house engineer responsible for translating research projects into prototype devices. I then moved to Silicon Valley, where I worked at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) as a printing scientist and was responsible for developing new 3D printing equipment, techniques, and applications.
In addition to using additive manufacturing as an R&D tool in my professional career, I also use it to enhance my personal hobbies, such as guitar, fishing, and keyboards.
